General Rules:1.
Always use good form.
A good controlled set will recruit more muscle fibers verses throwing the weight around.2.
Do 1 set with a lighter weight.
Then increase the weight for the next set and then increase the weight for the next set.
If you can complete 10-12 with proper form then increase the weight by 5-10 lbs.3.
Lower the weight in a controlled motion.

"Routines don't include rest time, so the time to complete is completely wrong. If the routine has 20 sets, you need a minimum 60secs rest between sets so 19min rest plus 20min work out time - factor in warm up and cool down and that 20min routine is actually closer to 50min. One advanced routine has 45 sets you'll be in the gym half the day! Supersets could reduce the workout time but app doesn't provide suggestions on this. The best feature is the per bodypart exercise list. I used that twice.."
